Normally when you are on Campus you type “Control Alt Delete” and choose the “Change a Password” Option. Type in your old password and your new one twice and then wait a few minutes as your new password syncs with hundreds of servers worldwide. Let’s say you are stuck at home.

What do you do? Use the Jewish Studies Portal to login and change your password remotely. I can almost hear the sound of your drink dropping from your hand but seriously I am going to talk you through it.

Using a web browser like Chrome, Safari, Brave, or Firefox go to the secure web address (notice the s) https://JSP.HUC.EDU Jewish Studies Portal located on the Cincinnati Campus . Tip: Clean your cache and cookies before doing this.

If you only use the JSP to change passwords, use the light version by clicking on “USE LIGHT VERSION”

Wait for it. Your Virtual PC is being built for you.

This may take a few minutes if you have never logged on before. Once it does you have a PC within a browser window. You can use this to launch Outlook, Word, Davka Writer, etc. just like you do at your desk. You may need help mapping drives or printers if you want to work virtually.

After clicking on the tab, a series of icons will pop up.
Choose the ellipse or ... Icon at the far right.
Click on the Control Alt Delete option
Change a Password option will be revealed
Select it to change your password

Sign out by selecting the tab and the ...

Wait for the new password to travel the world

Change your Password on all your devices so you do not get locked out by having your phone sending the old password and confusing the server.
