THE ABILITY TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD REMOTELY AT HUC-JIR
Using the Microsoft “forgot password” does not work. It is a cloud service that does not talk to our servers. But do not despair, we have been working on a service that will allow you to reset your password that does talk to all our services.
This will take about 5-15 minutes to setup. You will have to change your password as the final step.
Step 1: The system must know who you are.
The sooner you do this the better. Waiting till your password expires and then going through the process will not work. You can only claim your account once. One will get an error if you try to reclaim. Please email support@hucassist.freshdesk.com if you get an error at this stage.

Step 2: Select Type – Default. The other choice is for alumni only
Step 3: Enter your Name and personal Code – Captcha robot blocker
IT dept. will provide you with your personal claim code – 6 numbers
Email techsupport@huc.edu to request one with your HUC email
Step 4: Create Recovery Questions Personal to You
To change your question – click on the pencil icon highlighted in yellow in this graphic.
Answering 3 of these questions will claim your account.
1) What are the last four (4) digits of your driver’s license?
2) What is your mother’s maiden name?
3) In what city were you born?
4) What elementary school did you attend the most?
5) What is your favorite book or movie?
6) What is your grandfather’s first name?
7) what is your first or favorite pet’s name?
Step 5: Add an alternate email contact address (How we contact you to reset the password)
A code is sent to this recovery email address – It can take up to 15 minutes to get this code.
Step 6: Change Your Password using CAPITAL Letters, numbers, and a special character
