Blackbaud was hacked several years ago. When the breach occurred, they tightened their security protocols and removed the control of the time-out timer from Admins. However, there is something you can do to slow down the frequency you are prompted to have a verification code. When you are logging in make sure to check “Trust this browser.” Trust this browser, allows a user to authenticate and save a specific browser and IP Address for 30 days to be remembered by Blackbaud ID's authentication system. Users who use 'Trust this browser' will not be prompted to enter in their one-time passcode for Multi-Factor Authentication for 30 days within that same browser and while on the same IP Address. Users will need to still enter their valid Email and Password for their accounts.  However, if you log in
from:
  • a different browser – move from chrome to firefox as an example, you will be prompted for the verification code.
  • a different location, you will be prompted to enter your verification code.
  • a different device – your phone or Ipad you will be prompted for the verification code.
You can check trust this browser on those devices or locations too to not be prompted on them for 30 days as well.  Best,Angele
